Leeming Senior High School Education Support Centre

The School Board’s role is to work with the principal to determine school direction, to identify and implement priorities, and to provide the best blend of educational opportunities for students at the school. The School Board is all about improving all aspects of the school.

The School Board collaborates to review school objectives, priorities, and general policy directions. The Board comprises a mix of parents, community representatives, and school staff. The principal is a permanent member, and parent, community and staff representatives are elected for three-year terms.

The Board typically meets twice per term for two hours, with each meeting following a formal agenda managed by the principal and board chair.

New Board members undergo an induction program to familiarise themselves with school operations, site safety and Board procedures. Enthusiasm, a commitment to the school’s improvement, and a collaborative spirit are the primary requirements for new members.
